
First graders learned about how the sun makes shadows with flashlights and paper gnomes. It was so much fun.







Mrs. Hunt's class is full of cool kids! We took time for some read aloud books this past week to celebrate Read Across America Week.
Huge shoutout to Mrs. Amanda Adams for creating our amazing bulletin board showing the books our class has read. They have read over 800 books so far this year!


Kindergarten and first graders had Yes Day on Tuesday. They had fun with some Dr. Seuss activities and crafts.










6th and 1st graders teamed up to read during Read Across America/Dr. Seuss Week.






"Oh the Places You'll Go" is Mrs. Marquez's favorite Dr. Seuss book, so all 5th and 6th graders got to listen to it this week! ā°ļø


We had a student come in full spirit of Dr. Seuss week today!

Youth Wrestling practice scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 has been canceled.

The Eagles came up short tonight, falling to Yutan 51-41 in the district final to finish the season 20-6. Thanks to our seniors for their outstanding careers & contributions to SV Basketball.




Fifth and sixth graders had a great time yesterday at the Healthy Habits field trip, hosted by the 4-H Extension Office at Arapahoe!







The District Final Game is today! It starts at 6:00 PM in Yutan. The THEME is HAWAIIAN!


The theme for tomorrow's district final game is HAWAIIAN !!!


This morning @ 10:57 am, Southern Valley Schools participated in a Cardiac Emergency practice as part of our Heart Safe Schools designation. A call was made to dispatch as part of the required exercise. Local EMS was notified and responded to the practice. There was no active emergency but SV Schools is required to drill as such.

Two SV seniors will have artwork on display in the capitol building in Lincoln during March for the state-wide Youth Art Month exhibit. Congrats to Ehme Linner and Shandlyn Green for representing our school with their art!Ā
