It's a great day for DNA! 6th graders extracted and examined strawberry DNA as an extension to their growth and development unit.
Today we kick off our salute to the class of 2024 as we begin the countdown towards graduation. Please join us in congratulating Brenna on her graduation from Southern Valley. Way to go Brenna!!!!
The Elem StuCo held their Annual Hot Wheels Races today. Congrats to Corbyn Wright the overall winner, Bryar Jackson -2nd, and A.J. Wick-3rd. We would like to thank David Moore for once again giving up his day to run this fun activity for the students.
The Hi-Line track meet that was scheduled for March 28 has been canceled due to the condition of their track and field after the recent storm. There is no make-up date planned for this event.
Please use caution when you get to school. Parking lots are 100% better than they were yesterday but because of the melting yesterday there will be icy patches. Please use extra caution in the parking lots and on the sidewalks.
The Cambridge golf meet that was scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday the 27th, has been canceled because the course is too muddy and snowy to play without causing damage to the course. There is no make-up date available.
Just a reminder that the SV Winter Awards Ceremony is postponed due to weather and not having school today. We do not have a make up date yet, but will publish one later this week.
