Congratulations to Southern Valley Public Schools for achieving Heart Safe School designation through Project ADAM. Southern Valley has attained Heart Safe status, meaning they have ensured AEDs are properly placed and in working order within their school buildings, implemented a cardiac emergency response team and plan, conducted AED drills, and provided education to school staff on the warning signs of and developed an action plan for sudden cardiac arrest. Children’s Nebraska proudly recognizes Southern Valley Public Schools for their achievements. Project ADAM (Automated Defibrillators in Adam’s Memory) is named after Adam Lemel, a high school senior who collapsed while playing in a basketball game. No AED was available, and Adam did not survive. Adam’s parents and the community rallied and created Project ADAM, a nationwide initiative spreading awareness, education and preparedness for sudden cardiac arrest. Children’s is a Project ADAM affiliate health care site that encourages and partners with schools and community sites across Nebraska to become heart safe.

The Southern Valley Education Association will be hosting a meal deal Friday night when the Southern Valley Eagles host the Arapahoe Warriors on the grid iron.

**JH Volleyball @ Cozad Game Information** Cozad Schools has requested that SV team and spectators park in the east parking lot and enter the main doors of the Wellness Center as the games will be held in the Cozad Community Wellness Center on Thursday, September 19.

The SVA Saints fall to a quality Centura squad tonight 9-3. They return to action Thursday @ Hershey with JV starting @ 4:30 pm.
