Southern Valley hosted our Fine Arts Festival this evening. The evening started with our One Act, Chateau La Roach, followed by our Jr High & High School choirs and bands. Job well done SV Nation.
The Southern Valley Jr High wrestling team competed at Hitchcock County today. The team had a great day overall going 22-8 in their matches with six Eagles taking 1st place. Way to go wrestlers!!!

Nutrition students are sampling their vitamins and minerals with a fruit-tasting party. Students researched the nutrients in fruit and demonstrated techniques to prepare various fruits and vegetables. Pomegranate was a favorite but they decided papaya was an acquired taste.

Mr McDonalds 5th period Physics class took the opportunity to work in the CSI lab that was provided by ESU 11 for the SV students to explore. CSI is short for Create Solve Innovate. The students can explore graphic design, CNC machines, 3D printers and so much more. #svnation

In the battle of the birds, the Eagles came out victorious 3-1 over the Falcons of Wilcox-Hildreth. The Eagles return to action Monday night when they take on South Loup in the 1st round of districts. First serve is at 6:00 pm @ Southwest High School.

The Biology classes performed a lab exercise today to test the simple sugar levels in everyday foods that the students eat. The students tested bananas, chips and bread.
