Ashley S. loses her first wrestling match at the meet in Norton, KS.
Eagles with a big win over Bertrand by the score of 46-41. JV lost . JV will play Monday in a tournament in Cambridge on Monday. Both teams will travel to Chase County on Tuesday.
SV Lady Eagles had another outstanding defensive game vs Bertrand. They won it by the score of 51-26. JV plays in a Tournament in Cambridge on Monday. Varsity will play again on Tuesday in Imperial vs Chase County.
Southern Valley comes out on top of Alma 54-30 in the varsity wrestling dual tonight. The Eagles will wrestle tomorrow morning at Amherst.
Tonight before our home dual with Alma, we honored our three senior wrestlers, Mason, Cole & Esmeralda along with their parents. Southern Valley appreciates the efforts of these three individuals during their time wrestling for Southern Valley.
Roads to Bertrand north of Oxford are extremely muddy. Please, use caution, allow extra time, or preferably, find an alternate route.
**Schedule Change**
Due to a conflict @ McCook Community College, the basketball games next Tuesday, January 10 will be held @ Chase County (Imperial). JV games will begin @ 4:00 MST/5:00 CST. JV girls will be playing 2 quarters and then be followed immediately by the varsity.
SV boys beat Franklin 58-56. JV also won. They will play again in Bertrand on Friday.

Yesterday the elementary students enjoyed decorating cookies and drinking hot chocolate for their SOARing Eagle reward! We are so proud of all the students for being Safe, showing Ownership, having a good Attitude, and Respect to end the first semester!
