High school students competed in several academic areas at McCook Inter High Day today. Overall, they placed 2nd in Division 1. The following placed in the top three: Isaac Hamilton-1st in Algebra II and 2nd in Music Theory, Natalie Holste-3rd in Biology, Sarah Holste-3rd in Sociology, Colby Noel-3rd in Marketing, Kamden Bose-1st in Marketing, 2nd in Interview, 3rd in Accounting, Rian Grove-3rd in Info Tech, Ehme Linner and Brooklyn Santifer-3rd in Early Childhood

STATE WRESTLING SPOTLIGHT - Senior, Gabe Grove is a 2 time state qualifier. He heads to state with a record of 27-17 wrestling in the Class D 190lbs division. SV defeats the Loomis Wolves 51-23 they will play the winner of the next game where Alma (2) will take on Arapahoe (3) at 7:45. #svnation

JH Boys BB closed out their season today winning both games against Cambridge.

The JH Boys BB team took on McCook today with both the A & B teams coming out on top. They wrap up their season tomorrow at home vs Cambridge. Tip off is at 2:30 pm.

SV has a bye today in the GBB Sub District Round. However, we are hosting Loomis vs. Axtell ay 6:30 PM. SV girls will play the winner of tonight's game tomorrow night at 6:00 at SV. Let the post-season play begin! #svnation

SV is hosting a blood drive on Wed, Feb. 14 from 9:30 AM - 2:45 PM. There is a national blood shortage. Give the gift of life for Valentine's Day! Donating also supports two SV students, Ann & Laurel, as they will receive a Red Cross Scholarship for hosting the blood drive. The more people that give, the more they get! SV competed in a tough District meet. The team placed 6th out of 24 teams. Gabe 3rd @190 & Trey 4th @ 215. Impressive stat: Braxton won 1st @ 120 by pinning everyone in an average of 46 secs/match Hayden, Chase, Sam, Bennett (inj), Nate & Colby's great seasons ended today.
